Pierot publishing company has been active in the Czech book market already since the year 1993. We focus primarily on the original titles, but also on the books which have been published already, in particular on training books and supplementary textbooks for primary schools, popular educational fiction and non-fiction. Even though the majority of our production consists of educational titles for children and youth, since 2008 we also started to focus on various titles for adults – in the portfolio of our titles you can now find historical novels, pocketbook maps or publications with non-fiction themes.

Particularly important is our direct long-term cooperation with more than 1000 primary schools throughout the entire Czech Republic, where in one school year we will distribute approximately 150,000 books for children in the 1^st grades. At the earliest possible opportunity we will also expand our directions towards our Slovak neighbours.

We've been continuously trying to ensure that our publications will captivate a greater number of people interested in the high quality and valuable books which are primarily suitable for pre-school children and students of primary schools who need to be helped during their school studies. Their reward is in the knowledge of the subject they need to learn, but also a pleasure from the correctly prepared assignments. And actually, that is a reward for us as well.

Since the time we started to be active in the market, we have already published over 230 titles and we have sold over 9 million books.

Since September 2007 we also maintain our international representation in France.
